PERFORMANCE

Julie is an actor, singer, narrator and host.  In recent years, some of her theatrical acting roles have included the Fairy Godmother in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella and Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense.

She composed a Christmas concert of original holiday music with Diego Hellewell under the band name Julie & Diego, the Big American Winter Holiday Musical Spectacular (BAWHMS).  These often-amusing holiday tunes have resonated with audiences in Los Angeles and throughout the world. Check out their albums The Quarantine Album and Snowmanity, available for streaming and download at major online retailers. They also released two more music videos in 2024. More information at BAWHMS.com. @bawhms on Youtube and Facebook.

She’s written and composed Whisper, a stage musical about a rock singer who permanently loses her voice.  She did a table reading of it in Santa Monica, CA on June 24, 2023!  She’s searching for interested theaters to do a full production. See show website HERE.

Her short film, Moving Day, won an Award of Recognition from the IndieFEST film awards and a Special Mention at Global Shorts, and played in other festivals around the world.  Intrusion, another short film she starred in, played in two film festivals, winning the audience choice award in Los Angeles. Other short films can be found in the short film gallery of this site.

Julie sings all over Los Angeles on recordings, soundtracks, and local religious services – her current vocal residencies are at Westwood Hills Congregational Church in Westwood, St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Brentwood, and Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Mid-City.  She Christmas carols all over southern California during the holiday season.  She has also recorded music for various trailer libraries, so you’ve likely heard her voice (the highest one!) on trailers, commercials, television shows and more.
