Julie is an actor, singer, narrator and host.  In recent years, some of her acting projects have included a starring run of Annie Get Your Gun with the Aerospace Players in Torrance, Bark at Theatre Palisades, and The Cinderella Waltz at the Morgan-Wixson Theatre playing the role of Mother McGee, the bawdy and vivacious fairy godmother, to rave reviews.

She can now be seen as the slightly-less-drunk Fairy Godmother in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella at the Morgan-Wixson Theatre in July.  Details can be found HERE.  She’ll follow that performance with Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense at the Pierson Playhouse in the Pacific Palisades in September.  Details can be found HERE.

She recently adapted one of her film scripts, Whisper, about a rock singer who permanently loses her voice and has to find the meaning of a voice, to a full-fledged stage musical where she also composed the music.  She’ll be doing a reading of it soon.  She’ll post details here as they come.

Her latest short film, Moving Day, won an Award of Recognition from the IndieFEST film awards and a Special Mention at Global Shorts, and played in other festivals around the world.  Intrusion, another short film she starred in, played in two film festivals in 2015, winning the audience choice award in Los Angeles.  Other short films can be found in the short film gallery of this site.

She composed a Christmas concert of original holiday music with Diego Hellewell, the Big American Winter Holiday Musical Spectacular (BAWHMS).  They’ll perform it again with their band, the MistleTrio, at the Pico Theater December 16-17.  Check out The Quarantine Album, available for streaming and download at major online retailers.

Julie sings all over Los Angeles on recordings, soundtracks, and local church services – her current vocal residency is at Westwood Hills Congregational Church in Westwood.  She conducts the San Fernando Valley Chorale in two concerts a year.  She often joins the Lark Music Society in their large choral concerts and she sang with the Angeles Chorale for many years.  With them, she has sung with Julie Andrews, Barbra Streisand, Barry Manilow and others.  They also recorded music for various trailer libraries, so you’ve likely heard her voice (the highest one!) on trailers, commercials, television shows and more.
